Prodigy is conducting an $8 million to $10 million review for a national agency with direct marketing expertise to help the online service pursue co-branding and channel marketing opportunities. Out as ad agency is Weiss, Whitten, Stagliano, New York, though Prodigy VP-Marketing Bill Pearson said the review stems from Prodigy's change in marketing strategy rather than Weiss Whitten's performance. Mr. Pearson said he is seeking an agency with international know-how; Prodigy parent International Wireless just invested $179 million in the company to help it move into foreign markets including China. A decision is expected by July 1.
