Since the year began, McDonald's Corp. stock has been enjoying a bounce following news that same-store sales were up in January in the U.S. and abroad. Also, a marketing assault from Burger King Corp. on McDonald's signature french fries hasn't appeared to dampen sales at the Golden Arches. The stock hit a 52-week high late last month.

The burger giant this year is focusing on efforts to improve the taste of its products, and is launching several new initiatives aimed at kids and teens.
