Primedia owner Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. bought 16.7 million additional shares -- for $200 million -- last week. That purchase brings KKR's holdings to 123.5 million, or 82.8% of all shares outstanding. Primedia has a new president for its magazine group and has started a corporate branding effort to establish its new name. In March, Primedia will complete its acquisition of two divisions of Cowles Enthusiast Media and Cowles Business Media, adding a significant number of titles including American Demographics.
