Prudential renews NBA on NBC deal

Prudential Insurance Co. of America renewed its sponsorship of National Basketball Association games on NBC through 2002. It has been an NBA advertiser since NBC initiated coverage during the 1990-91 season. The package includes sponsorship of the half-time show. Terms were not disclosed. The deal is among the first NBC has closed since renewing its NBA TV rights last fall.
