Woolworth Corp. assigned its Champs Sports account to Publicis/Bloom, New York, completing a review of its account started last summer. Woolworth split its $25 million account among several New York shops, sending its flagship Foot Locker brand to Deustch, Lady Foot Locker to Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and Kids Foot Locker to Griffin Bacal. Bates USA resigned the account last summer, citing financial differences with the client. Publicis/Bloom was the agency of record for Woolworth's discount stores, which were closed last summer. According to Competitive Media Reports, Champs spends about $5 million annually on measured media.
