New publisher for 'Modern Bride'

Primedia, New York, named Douglas Fierro group publisher of Primedia's Modern Bride and Modern Bride Connection, a group of 14 regional bridal guides. Mr. Fierro, publisher of Primedia's Automobile since October 1996, succeeds Nina Lawrence, who recently left to become publisher of Conde Nast Publications' Mademoiselle. Also at Modern Bride, National Advertising Manager Maria Padova was promoted to advertising director. At Automobile, Advertising Director John Kennelly was named associate publisher.
