Quebec's Marketel joins Universal McCann Network

The media department of Marketel, one of Quebec's top five agencies, and 49 percent owned by McCann-Erickson Worldwide, has joined the M2 Universal Canada network, operating under parent Universal McCann. The addition of the Montreal media department gives M2 Universal a national, coast-to-coast network, with offices in St. John's, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Interpublic Group of Cos. in Canada (M2 Universal, Initiative Media, Ammirati Puris and Marketel) bill about $455 million.
