R/GA Digital Studios closes linear broadcast unit

Published on .

R/GA Digital Studios will shutter its linear broadcast production unit, R/Greenberg Associates, in order to focus company resources on R/GA Interactive and R/GA Broadband divisions, according to Robert M. Greenberg, chairman-CEO and founder of R/GA Digital Studios. New York-based R/Greenberg Associates, founded in 1977, has collaborated on over 4,000 commercials and 400 feature films, including Paula Abdul dancing with Gene Kelly for Diet Coke, Reebok's basketball battle between teams of cloned Shaquille O'Neals and the current campaign for the Dodge Intrepid. R/Greenberg Associates will complete projects currently in production before closing in mid-January. R/GA Digital Studios, part of True North Diversified Cos., comprises R/GA Interactive, the strategic interactive design agency, as well as R/GA Broadband and R/GA Pervasive, newly created divisions.
