(Sept. 6, 2001) -- Total radio advertising revenue was down 4% for July, according to the Radio Advertising Bureau, the lowest such drop since the start of the year.

National radio sales were off 14% in July,while local dollars fell 1% for the month, compared with the same period last year. July's decline was the smallest dip since January, when combined local and national ad dollars fell 3%, followed by a 6% decline in February, 10% in March, 9% in April, 9% in May and 8% in June. -- Cara Beardi
