Published on .

RadioShack Corp. agreed to carry Excite@Home cable modem installation kits in its retail stores nationally. The QuickStart installation kit and cable modem is meant to be easily connected and activated by consumers, which Excite@Home hopes will help increase penetration of broadband Internet services. Participating in the agreement are Excite@Home's cable partners including Comcast, AT&T Broadband and Cox. Comcast will be the first cable operator to launch with RadioShack. The QuickStart installation kit will be offered in the fourth quarter in Comcast markets including Baltimore, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington.
