Radish unveils phone/PC service

Radish Communications Systems Monday introduces VoiceView Marketplace, an electronic commerce service allowing businesses to communicate with customers over a phone and PC using one phone line. 1-800-FLOWERS and an electronic address directory from R.R. Donnelley & Sons are the first services. The feature requires special modem technology, which Radish is licensing to modem companies and PC marketers including AST Research.

stock leaps 14% on rumors of new partner
Information Resources Inc. stock jumped 14% to $15.50 late Friday on rumors that it was close to naming a new equity partner that would give the market researcher a cash infusion. Crain's Chicago Business previously reported IBM Corp. may be a suitor.
