A flagship Polo Ralph Lauren store is slated to open on Tel Aviv's trendy Medina Circle early next year. The company is also looking into opening additional stores around Israel.
The Polo Jeans and Polo Sport stores are making their debut because of the lack of high-fashion stores in Israel. Usually, they would take concessions in fashion department stores, such as Bloomingdales in the U.S., says a Ralph Lauren spokesperson.
In preparation for the grand openings, the company sent 100 tons of store furniture from Germany and the U.S., purchased specially by the Ralph Lauren design team, and store interiors were designed by an international team of architects from the U.S., France and Israel, personally supervised by Ralph Lauren himself.
Ralph Lauren fashions are being marketed in Israel by the local fashion concern Polgat, which won the license a year ago. Tel Aviv agency Gitam/ BBDO has the Ralph Lauren account in Israel.
