Rapp acquires e-mail provider

Rapp Collins Worldwide, New York, acquired e-mail application services provider Innovyx, Seattle. The Omnicom Group marketing services agency will fold Innovyx into its Internet arm, RappDigital, and implement Innovyx's Internet-based Dialogue 1t01 marketing system to deliver highly targeted personalized e-mails to segmented audiences rather than mass, uniform e-mails to a broad base of people. Innovyx co-founders David Townsend and Derek Harding will remain in their current roles of CEO and chief technology officer, respectively. Innovyx's client roster of Fortune 1000 companies including Microsoft Corp. and Xerox Corp. will be added to RappDigital's clients such as Pfizer and SBC Communications. The acquisition builds on Rapp's partnership last fall with Internet service company Critical Mass, which specializes in Web site design and e-commerce solutions.
