Collins Worldwide's Dallas area office and Focus Agency, both under Omnicom Group's Diversified Agency Services umbrella, announced a formal strategic alliance designed to provide clients with a single resource for brand and direct marketing advertising. "There was an obvious opportunity to consolidate some of the expert services represented by both agencies," said Malcome Speed, New York-based chairman-CEO of Rapp Collins Worldwide. Focus Agency President-CEO Mark Miller becomes president of both Rapp Collins, Dallas, and Focus, which will retain its name but relocate operations from Dallas to the Omnicom offices in Irving, Texas, where Rapp Collins is located. Mr. Miller succeeds Steve Judge, who's leaving Rapp Collins. Focus' 1998 billings were $44.7 million; Rapp Collins' overall billings topped $2 billion. Mr. Miller will report directly to Rapp Collins, Dallas CEO John Jastrem.
