Chairman Malcolm Speed to Assume Duties Until Replacement Found

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Lesley Mair, president-CEO of the New York office of Omnicom's Rapp Collins, is leaving after less than one year on the job to pursue other opportunities, a Rapp Collins spokesman said.

Employees were notified via a memo today.

who came from the U.K. to run the office last March, was previously managing director of WWAV Rapp Collins in London. She will most likely return to the U.K., the spokesman said.

In the near-term, Ms. Mair's duties will be assumed by Rapp Collins Worldwide Chairman-CEO Malcolm Speed, although the agency is looking for a replacement.

Ms. Mair did not return calls for comment at press time.

In addition, Rapp Collins' New York office, located at 11 Madison Ave., is considering moving into Omnicom-owned space at 437 Madison Ave., although no definitive plans have been made.
