Rare Medium helps develop Microsoft online store

Rare Medium, New York, helped developed Microsoft Corp.'s first online store, shop.microsoft.com, which sells Microsoft hardware and software. The store showcases Microsoft's electronic-commerce platform, which uses technology including the Windows NT Server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. Rare Medium developed the site's design, strategy, branding and identity, as well as its user interface and client side coding. The interactive shop also coined the online store's name.
