(July 27, 2001) -- Streaming media company Real Networks said late Thursday it would cut 15% of its staff, or approximately 140 positions, as part of an overall cost-cutting plan that would also trim discretionary expenditures. The company said it will take a $4 to $5 million charge in the third quarter because of the cuts. -- Catharine P. Taylor
