Reciprocal endorses Sony's OpenMG digital music distribution

Reciprocal, a global digital rights management services company, joined other information technology companies to make Sony Corp.'s OpenMG copy protection technology interoperable with the leading electronic music distribution technologies. Other companies endorsing the technology include InterTrust, Liquid Audio, Preview Systems and Real Networks. The agreement will enable OpenMG compliant personal computers and Sony's portable devices such as Memory Stick Walkman and VAIO Music Clip to receive contents downloaded securely over the Internet, using electronic music distribution technologies including Reciprocal's Digital Clearing Services 2.0, a clearinghouse solution for selling digital content on the Internet.
