Published on .

Reebok International filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles against Sony Corp.'s TriStar Pictures claiming it paid more than $1.5 million in promotion and product placement fees for the studio's release of "Jerry Maguire." The studio supposedly agreed to run a Reebok commercial as part of a scene near the end of the film; however, in the movie's final edits the commercial was cut from the film, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The suit is said to seek $120 million in damages.
