(April 2, 2001) -- Clearly Canadian Beverage Corporation, of Vancouver, British Columbia, will announce that it will manufacture, distribute and sell a new Reebok-branded sports beverage in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.

The non-carbonated drink, Reebok Fitness Water, is to come in three fruit flavors.

The licensing agreement calls for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of a two-year renewal based on performance. Clearly Canadian will pay Reebok a royalty based on a percentage of net sales of the beverage. No advertising is planned for the moment. Omnicom Group's Karacters Design Group, part of DDB, Vancouver, helped with the launch. -- Laura Petrecca
