Report: 53.5 million U.S. adults online

According to the fall 1998 CyberStats report from Mediamark Research, 53.5 million U.S. adults currently use the Internet, about 27% of the U.S. adult population. This is a 23% jump from the May report.

CyberStats also found that about 72 million American adults have access to the Internet, up 16% from the number who had access during the previous reporting period. For more information, go to www.mediamark.com.
