Report: Newspapers winning classifieds

Published on .

The Newspaper Association of America unveiled a new report that says newspaper sites on the Web fare better than non-newspaper sites for classified advertising. Consumers in the study viewed newspapers' sites in a more positive light than non-newspapers' sites for online classifieds. The report also found that newspaper Web sites are viewed as more informative and entertaining compared with other sites, and that newspaper sites are rated higher for interactivity when compared with other, general-interest sites.
