Landes takes leave
Robert Landes, exec VP of L.A. Gear, has taken an indefinite leave of absence. He had been in charge of the athletic footwear company's marketing operations. L.A. Gear recently posted first-quarter revenues almost 50% lower than a year ago.

Australian airline Qantas, Sydney, moved its $35 million international media planning and buying to Optimedia from Saatchi & Saatchi's Zenith Media following last week's move of its international ad business to Maurice Saatchi's New Saatchi Agency from Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising.
