Republic adds Snappy Car Rental

Republic Industries, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., said it intends to acquire Snappy Car Rental, Tulsa, an insurance replacement car rental company, for $26 million in cash or stock. Snappy does most of its ads in-house. Earlier this year, Republic acquired National Car Rental System, Alamo Rent-A-Car and Spirit Rent-A-Car and signed an agreement to acquire Value Rent-A-Car.
