Republic to scrap Value brand

Republic Industries said it is phasing out Value Rent-A-Car and will convert the 45 Value locations to the Alamo Rent A Car label. Gray Kirk/VanSant, Baltimore, won Value's $7 million account last November. Hal Riney & Partners, San Francisco, handles Alamo creative, but Alamo has its own in-house ad staff.
