'New Republic' targets Gen X

Published on .

The New Republic breaks national TV advertising March 2 in a push to target Gen-X readers. The first spot will run on ABC's "Politically Incorrect" and will be followed by spots on MTV, CNN, VH1, Comedy Central and by regional buys in six major cities. Advertising is handled in-house, but X-Ray Productions' Jesse Peretz directed the commercials. Spending was undisclosed.
