RESPONSYS GETS $5 MILLION IN VENTURE CAPITAL

(May 7, 2001) -- Interactive marketing firm Responsys, Palo Alto, Calif., has received $5 million in funding from RSA Ventures and Foundation Capital. This follows the funding of $20 million from Accel Partners, Foundation Capital, Redpoint ventures and Sigma Partners that the company received April 11. Responsys also announced today that co-founder Raghu Raghavan has been promoted to chief technology officer and that Virendra R. Vase has been named chief information officer and vice president of engineering and operations. -- Adrienne Mand
