Review under way at ABC

Published on .

ABC Television Network is talking to Omnicom Group's Merckley Newman Harty and Fallon McElligott Berlin, both New York, among other agencies, to take over its $35 million account, according to an executive familiar with the situation. The account is currently at Grey Entertainment, New York. ABC executives are expected to hold a briefing tomorrow for all the agencies involved. Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, handles cable TV's USA Networks, however, which could be a possible conflict. The ABC review has been expected since last summer.
