Bruno Gralpois, director of database and new-media strategies for Hunt Marketing Group, Seattle, is charged with developing targeted direct-response ad programs based on data mining. Hunt is a full-service direct mail agency, with clients including Starbucks Coffee Co. and Eddie Bauer Inc. Mr. Gralpois says Hunt develops loyalty and cross-selling programs based on the intelligence derived from data mining. "You use data mining knowledge for prospecting purposes as well as customer acquisition and targeting segments of customers," he says.
