Ritter Sport appoints TBWA to several European markets

EALDENBUCH, Germany -- TBWA International, Frankfurt, has won in a competitive pitch the Ritter Sport chocolate brand in Germany, Russia, Poland and Denmark. The $13 million account in Germany was previously held by DDB-owned Heye & Partner.

Heye & Partner, which held the Ritter Sport business for five years, was not included in the pitch. Contesting the account were Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Frankfurt; Scholz & Friends, Hamburg; and Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett, Frankfurt, along with TBWA.

Wiesbaden-based agency Dr. Pichutte will continue to handle media buying and planning.
