ROADKILL;BITS & BYTES;OF TRIX AND CHARMS AND KIDS ON THE WEB LUXURY CARS CAUGHT SLEEPING AT THE WHEEL

Published on .

From the Really Bad Timing file: General Mills last week delayed indefinitely the what-was-to-be very splashy launch of its kid-oriented Web site, "You Rule School." Official word is that agency Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive, New York, needed more time to implement new technologies, but we couldn't help noticing the move came shortly after the Center for Media Education blasted Web sites aimed at kids.

We checked in at http://www.acura.com, only to find Acura Technology Group, a video production outfit. Fine. So on to http://www.infiniti.com, where we learned about....Infiniti Micro Systems, a computer systems integrator. Then to http://www.porsche.com-"a computer network services and design company." And finally, http://www.jaguar.com, home to Paragon Consulting Group. The luxury car marques must have been dozing when it came time to register domain names.
