Rodale Press named former Marie Claire
Managing Editor Clare McHugh to be editor-in-chief of New Woman
, succeeding Betsy Carter, who resigned a month ago. Most recently, Ms. McHugh had been editor-in-chief at Dennis Publishing's new men's magazine, Maxim
, a post she left this month. Rodale Press purchased New Woman
, a monthly, from Primedia, formerly K-III Communications, this summer. Ms. McHugh will be based in New York and begins her new job in January. At Maxim
, Ms. McHugh was succeeded by Keith Blanchard, named acting editor-in-chief.
