Rodale names 'New Woman' editor

Published on .

Rodale Press named former Marie Claire Managing Editor Clare McHugh to be editor-in-chief of New Woman, succeeding Betsy Carter, who resigned a month ago. Most recently, Ms. McHugh had been editor-in-chief at Dennis Publishing's new men's magazine, Maxim, a post she left this month. Rodale Press purchased New Woman, a monthly, from Primedia, formerly K-III Communications, this summer. Ms. McHugh will be based in New York and begins her new job in January. At Maxim, Ms. McHugh was succeeded by Keith Blanchard, named acting editor-in-chief.
