A deceptively innocuous-looking raindrop morphs into more menacing forms, including a jackhammer and a cartwheeling bomb, in a commercial that debuted yesterday during the NBA playoffs for Rust-Oleum. A patio chair, painted with Rust-Oleum enamel, repels all assaults by the wily water. George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic, San Francisco, created the special effects for the 15-second spot from Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago. Tagline remains "Rust-Oleum. The name that means protection."
