HONG KONG - Saatchi & Saatchi's group creative director in Guangzhou, Eric Chan, 34, was killed in a traffic accident while returning home from Hong Kong airport after a business trip to New York. Mr. Chan was struck by another vehicle while riding on his motorbike. An eight-year Saatchi veteran, "he is loved by our clients and was a true Saatchi & Saatchi person. Eric was also responsible for some of our best work in China, including many great P&G campaigns," says Patrick Pitcher, Saatchi Asia CEO, Hong Kong.

The office in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou is one of Saatchi's leading agencies in North Asia because it is the China headquarters of Procter & Gamble Co., one of Saatchi's largest accounts. Mr. Chan also worked on Saatchi's Guangzhou Confectionery, Midea Home Appliances and China Hotel business.
