The win - which follows a six agency review - includes all products which bear the Schweppes name in Europe. The mainstay of the range are mixers such as bitter lemon and tonic and soda waters. A "major" campaign will kick off next year. "The Schweppes brand is incredibly important to our business and Saatchi & Saatchi has demonstrated its creative strength to build the brand across Europe," says Dominic Lowe, vice president marketing for Schweppes Europe.
Saatchi & Saatchi already handles other Schweppes brands including "new-age" drink Oasis, the Sunkist orange carbonate and Malvern water.
