Published on .

Aiming to raise its "digital'' brand profile and promote its Tantus high-definition digital TVs, Samsung Electronics America, will team up with CBS to underwrite the costs associated with converting most of the network's movies and mini-series to high definition TV. Samsung will get tags twice during CBS movie broadcasts. Samsung, Ridgefield, N.J., also will sponsor the MP3.com campus tour to promote its new Yepp portable MP3 player. The 20-plus city tour kicks off on Oct. 6.
