Before editing the newsletters, Ms. Sanders worked as a reporter at Ad Age sibling Crain's New York Business. She also worked as a staff editor at McGraw-Hill Cos.' Business Week and was deputy chief of reporters at Forbes. Earlier in her career, Ms. Sanders worked for Conde Nast Publications' Mademoiselle and Vogue. She will report to Ann Marie Kerwin, New York bureau chief.
"We are so pleased to have a reporter of Lisa's caliber and experience join Ad Age to cover agencies for us, especially since her experience is paired with such great enthusiasm and energy," Ms. Kerwin said.
Ad Age reviewed nearly 200 candidates before deciding on Ms. Sanders to take on one of the publication's most critical beats. "Lisa was our top choice for this post based on her drive and her business acumen," said Deputy Editor Bradley Johnson. "We expect Lisa will quickly gain the trust and respect of ad agencies, and we expect her to cover the field fully and fairly for readers."
