Sapient Corp. buys Studio Archetype

Internet systems integrator Sapient Corp., Cambridge, Mass., Aug. 25 purchased Studio Archetype, San Francisco. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1988 as Clement Mok designs by former Apple Computer exec Clement Mok, Studio Archetype grew from a digital design firm into a Web developer. Its offices will remain a separate unit of Sapient. Mr. Mok will assume the new role of chief creative officer of Sapient. Studio Archetype CEO Mark Crumpacker will become president of Archetype.1
