Sassa may join Marvel

Published on .

Former Turner Entertainment Network President Scott Sassa is set to join the Marvel Entertainment Group in a top executive capacity, possibly as chairman, according to executives with knowledge of the situation. Ron Perelman, chairman of McAndrews & Forbes, the holding company that owns Marvel, would only say that "I know Scott, like him, and think he's very bright." Mr. Sassa recently resigned his Turner post.

On Tuesday, Marvel named Michael Dresner to the new position of exec VP-corporate development. Mr. Dresner comes to Marvel from the National Basketball Association, where he was VP-international TV.
