Sassa gets nod at NBC

Published on .

NBC, New York, as expected, officially named Scott Sassa, 39, president of NBC Entertainment today, succeeding Warren Littlefield. Mr. Sassa had been president of the NBC stations division. Initial reports of a shakeup at NBC, where ratings have been weak this fall, emerged over the weekend. Mr. Sassa will initially report to NBC West Coast President Don Ohlmeyer until Mr. Ohlmeyer leaves next year when his contract expires. Mr. Sassa will then take over the West Coast duties. Mr. Littlefield, 46, will form a TV production company joint venture with NBC.
