Saturn partners with eBay

Published on .

General Motors Corp.'s Saturn Corp., Troy, Mich., is partnering with eBay, San Jose, Calif., to offer inspections of used cars sold online. Saturn dealers will do the inspections, which are expected to cost less than $100 each. EBay's co-branded Web site with recent partner AutoTrader.com will carry information about the new service. The program will start testing next month in Houston, Indianapolis and Nashville before a national rollout. A spokeswoman said there's been no decision on advertising yet. The deal should generate more traffic to Saturn's 425-plus facilities.
