Schwab taps Martin, GSD&M

Published on .

Charles Schwab & Co., San Francisco, tapped the Martin Agency, Richmond, Va. and GSD&M, Austin, Texas, for $40 million in new print assignments. Martin will handle the $10 million assignment for marketing to women, while GSD&M was awarded the company's $30 million mutual fund branding assignment, said executives close to the situation. Review contenders included TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., and Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide, New York. Lead Schwab agency BBDO, New York, didn't participate in the reviews. There was no previous agency for either account. Pile & Co., Boston, handled the review.
