Sci-Fi Channel seeks shop

Published on .

The Sci-Fi Channel is looking for an advertising agency of record. "We are ideally looking for a full service agency which has a combination of brand building and creative expertise," said Andrew Besch, senior VP-marketing for USA Networks. Sci-Fi, with estimated billings of $4 million, is owned by USA Networks. USA's parents, Seagram Co. and Viacom, are currently in court battling over ownership of the company. Sci-Fi's current agency is Butler, Shine & Stern in Sausalito, Calif. The agency will not be participating in the review. Richard Roth Associates, Chappaqua, N.Y., is handling the review.
