SCOBY TO SENIOR VP, BLAKE TO VP AT CRAIN

[detroit] The board of Crain Communications Inc. named Gloria Scoby to the position of senior VP and David Blake to VP. The new titles are in addition to their current responsibilities.

Ms. Scoby joined Crain in 1978 as a member of the launch team for Crain's Chicago Business, the first of four Crain city business publications. She currently serves as group publisher, working directly with the publishers of Advertising Age, Advertising Age International, Business Marketing, Ad Age's Creativity, Crain's New York Business, Electronic Media, Investment News and Pensions & Investments, and remains publisher of Crain's Chicago Business. She also oversees radio stations WWUS-FM and WCNK-FM, Big Pine Key, Fla.

Mr. Blake is VP-associate publisher of Crain's Chicago Business. He joined Crain in 1981 as an advertising sales representative with the weekly newspaper and was named sales manager in 1984, advertising director in 1987 and associate publisher in 1995. Before joining Crain, he was an ad sales representative for the Law Bulletin Publishing Co.
