Search engines weigh impact of TV campaigns

Infoseek will soon join the ranks of fellow search engines Yahoo!, Excite and Lycos by launching its first-ever TV advertising, expected by this fall.Although details of the campaign, from Goldberg Moser O'Neill, San Francisco, are undisclosed, Infoseek's decision to launch a consumer branding campaign via TV is the latest in a trend of search engines taking their messages to the tube.
