Published on .

A 33,000 sq. ft. Sega City & Playdium will open next weekend in Mississauga, just outside of Toronto, featuring virtual reality games, a go-cart race track, rock climbing, a mini-golf course, restaurants and a Blue Jays Club House. Playdium Entertainment Corp., Toronto, has teamed up with Sega Gameworks to launch over 40 centers in Canada in the next five to seven years. Sega Gameworks is a partnership between DreamWorks SKG and MCA, plus Sega Enterprises of Japan. Advertising for Sega City will be handled by Boom Design, Toronto; media buying is through Media Experts, Montreal.
