Sega's Stolar gets new post

Sega of America promoted Bernie Stolar to chief operating officer and placed North American business operations, including sales and marketing, under him. Mr. Stolar assumes a title last held by Tom Kalinske, who left Sega last July. Mr. Stolar joined Sega of America last July from rival Sony Computer Entertainment America, and has been exec VP-product development and third- party licensing and president-chief operating officer of Sega Entertainment. Sega Entertainment publishes PC games based on Sega arcade, sports and character properties; Mr. Stolar will retain his Sega Entertainment titles and report to Sega of America Chairman-CEO Shoichiro Trimajiri.
