Senate wants marketing probe

The U.S. Senate, working on a juvenile crime bill, last night voted 90-0 to approve an amendment requiring the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission to probe whether companies are purposely marketing violent and sexually explicit movies, recordings and videogames to minors. Republican Sens. Sam Brownback (Kan.), Orrin Hatch (Utah) and John McCain (Ariz.) offered the amendment.
