SFX invests in Bowie venture

Entertainment promoter SFX Entertainment has invested in UltraStar Internet Services, the Internet company co-founded by David Bowie. SFX will have an undisclosed minority interest in UltraStar. UltraStar creates private-label subscription commerce and content sites targeting entertainment, sports, fashion and other affinity groups. It also works with Internet service providers to create private-label Internet access. Its sites include BowieNet; the official site for the New York Yankees, YankeesXtreme; and the official Web site for the Baltimore Orioles, OriolesWorld.
