Silicon Graphics, San Jose, Calif., named McCann-Erickson Worldwide, San Francisco, as first agency for its new Visual PC Group, which will launch a line of high-performance Intel/Windows NT-based PCs in the second half. The account was valued at between $30 million and $40 million. Think New Ideas, West Hollywood, Calif., will develop the division's Web site. McCann bested finalist Arnold Communications, Boston, and will create print ads, Web ads and possibly TV spots. CKS Silicon Valley, Cupertino, Calif., which earlier was dropped from the review, retains Silcon Graphics' estimated $20 million corporate account.
